SEL Mental Health Scales Training

This module is designed for educational professionals interested in assessing the social emotional learning (SEL) skills and emotional behavior concerns of K-12 students using a high-quality, time efficient rating scale.

The SSIS SEL Brief + Mental Health Scales featured in this training module were developed to meet or exceed standards and evidentiary criteria for reliable, valid, and fair test scores as specified in the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (AERA, APA, & NCME, 2014). This module addresses fundamental questions for using and interpreting these rating scales to screen all students and identify areas in need of improvement via SEL skill units in the SSIS SEL CIP. Users who complete this module will be ready to use the SSIS SEL Brief + Mental Health Scales to assess and develop instructional plans for all students.
